Many people believe that mission work is exclusive to the preacher or evangelist. The team of workers at Source of Light Headquarters in Madison, Georgia, proves that assumption wrong every day. Accountants, maintenance men, secretaries, organizers and many more people offer their skills here to help resource national partner missionaries all around the world. Our small team of around fifty missionaries could not do what we do without volunteers. Last year, individuals and groups who came for hours, days, or weeks, provided thousands of hours of service, the equivalent to many full-time missionaries. The two qualities SLM values most in a volunteer are a heart for missions, and willingness to serve. SLM welcomes families with children, youth groups, church senior groups, people with disabilities, interns, computer experts, and more. From working on cars to live streaming to stuffing envelopes, there is a spot for any believer in Jesus Christ who wants to offer his or her time and abilities to Him.

We have volunteer opportunities ranging from youth groups to retirement-age individuals with an interest in using their abilities to serve the Lord. Volunteers stay busy at Source of Light, often grading our discipleship courses, assisting in printing and shipping, helping in accounting, maintaining our large facility, and whatever other project we might have running at the time!
If you are required to volunteer a set amount of hours per semester, as in the case of many Universities (i.e. CSER), we can work with you and your requirements so that you both meet your hours and your actual interests. (Walking dogs at the humane shelter is great and all but what employer is interested in that?)
